Breeding and Conservation of Black Shell Clams (Anadara Tuberculosa) Program
The black shell clams are endangered molluscs, which is why Aquacultura Torrecillas(Seajoy) is committed to the conservation of these species. Because of the great ecological importance that these species(Anadara tuberculosa and Anadara similis) provides to mangrove ecosystems, Seajoy has developed since 2010 a program for the Protection and Conservation of Black Shell Clams at the Estero Real. The project is five years old and has contributed to the recovery of both species.
